Victorian Derby Silverplate Tilting Water Pitcher, Stand & Goblet | Aesthetic Movement Style
Even serving water deserves a little grandeur.
This Victorian Derby silverplate water pitcher features beautiful Aesthetic Movement–style decoration, with trailing leaves, little daisies, butterflies, and a prominent dragonfly across its richly patterned body.
The detail continues far beyond the pitcher itself. Decorative borders encircle the pitcher, lower plate, and stand’s base, while the sculptural handle and pierced supports add interest from every angle. Even the small rear handle of the lower plate is wonderfully ornamented.
The pitcher tilts smoothly within its tall arched stand for pouring. A beautifully coordinated pedestal goblet rests in its own holder alongside it. The goblet is a paired complement; an original factory-matched set has not been confirmed.
A striking statement piece for a dining room, sideboard, or collected silver display—full of the thoughtful embellishment that makes Victorian serving pieces so special.
Condition: Beautiful antique condition overall, with tarnish on the lower base plate and age-related surface wear. The pitcher tilts smoothly in its stand. Please review all photographs and the video for details.
