Vintage Heavy Brass Altar Candlesticks – Pair

A substantial pair of vintage solid brass candlesticks with beautifully detailed, almost architectural forms. Each features a broad round base, decorative embossed center with scrolling foliate motifs, and an oversized 5-inch drip pan.

These have wonderful weight and presence—the kind of candlesticks that can anchor a mantel, console, dining table, or collected display beautifully. Their form has a distinctly ecclesiastical quality, and they were acquired as part of a collection of Catholic devotional and altar pieces.

The brass retains its wonderfully aged finish with areas of patina, oxidation, surface wear, discoloration and old wax residue, particularly on the large drip pans. These have not been polished, preserving the character developed over time.
