Vintage Pair of "Victory Light" Wooden Candle Holders – Germany 1945 WWII Commemorative

An unusual and charming matched pair of hand-crafted wooden candle holders commemorating the Allied victory at the end of World War II.

Each holder features a distinctive V-shaped candle socket mounted above a square block hand-painted with the words "Victory Light" flanked by crossed olive branches. The stepped bases are inscribed "Germany 1945," commemorating the end of the war and the beginning of peace.

Although not perfectly identical, they were clearly made as a pair. One retains a faint "ges. gesch." mark on the underside, indicating German registered design protection. Their folk-art construction and commemorative nature make them an appealing display for collectors of WWII memorabilia, occupation-era artifacts, and postwar German decorative arts.

Both remain in original vintage condition with expected age-related wear, including minor scuffs, finish wear, and slight differences in construction from hand craftsmanship. A scarce and decorative pair celebrating one of history's defining moments.
