Monumental Amphora Bird & Floral Vase

Monumental Amphora Bird & Floral Vase

Bold color, intricate pattern, and an impressive silhouette give this Amphora vase a commanding presence. A dramatic bird with outstretched wings rests among stylized flowers and scrolling foliage, outlined in raised pale blue detailing.

Deep cobalt trim frames a palette of golden ochre, rust red, forest green, and cream. The decoration continues around its generously rounded body, making it beautiful from every angle.

The underside is marked “Amphora—Made in Czechoslovakia.” The original auction description identifies the bird as a vulture.

Measurements:
• Height: 20½″
• Belly circumference at widest point: approximately 39″
• Outside rim diameter: approximately 4″
• Interior opening: approximately 2¾″
• Base diameter: approximately 7″

Condition: Very good overall condition. A small line/irregularity crosses the top rim, with a pale area along the inner edge, shown in the close-up photographs. The line feels glazed over to the touch, but its origin is uncertain. Light wear to the underside. Please review all photographs for details.
